I just heard on NBC news that more red light cameras are going to be installed in Los Angeles. It was more specific about some intersection where lots of people speed through, and these need to be put in for safety. Garbage. Ticket Assassin sets it straight. It’s all about money.
Keep Ticket Assassin bookmarked, and tell your friends. I know I posted this at All Narfed Up, but now I saw it on my local news, and I’m assuming my friends will hear about it.
For the record, I’m helping my mom fight her red light camera ticket with this site, so I’ll be posting about that when we get a response from the court.
Update 12:00pm 8/7/06: I found the LA Times article explaining what Los Angeles intersections will have red light cameras installed. It was posted on July 11th, 2006, but I think they’re up today. Malarkey!

Where I live the cameras are very obvious and they started with a couple months of just warning tickets, picking intersections with a fair number of accidents.
When the cameras actually ticket someone, they also fire off a flash of light so everyone knows about it.
It has been interesting. A lot fewer people run those intersections.
Today’s mail brought the shocking news that you’ve been issued a $300 ticket for running a red light!! How did that happen especially when you don’t remember it?
Ticket details say the incident happened two weeks previously while you were working your way through the traffic snarl at a busy intersection. A red-light camera that you didn’t notice was installed at that intersection and a minor red light traffic violation triggered the camera’s flash. Now your license plate number is a part of Big Brother’s files.
Is there a deterrent to this to avoid paying huge fines in the future? Yes, there is . . it’s called “Photo Blocker.” Available in a simple red aerosol can, the clear spray is 100% legal, unlike some license plate covers. The spray diffuses the camera’s flash, overexposing the picture, thus making your plate illegible to the camera but not to the naked eye.
“Photo Blocker” has been winning driver raves from coast to coast and overseas. It’s been a featured subject in electronic and print media, such as the Chicago Sun-Times and CBS and ABC News. The suggested retail is $29.99 for a long-lasting, one-time application aerosol can.

photo blocker does work but now the cameras also have streaming footage that is recorded and thats how they really bust you. On top of the ticket that you will get from running the red you will also get a ticket for using photo blocker for abaiting the law. Good try but try again.
