Women take notice

When I have a lunch break outside the office, I usually hit up the food court on the corner of Wilshire and Normandy. There's a place called Maru Maru Teriyaki that has good food at decent prices (at least, in my opinion).

Anyway, when the woman was handing me my food, she said, "You changed your hair."

I did? I think I just put gel and made it go as high as possible. I explained this, adding that I probably just needed a haircut.

"No, it's not bad – I like it."

Wow, pretty cool considering I never really make small talk with her when I order. (It gets crazy there, just like today.) I normally just get my food and go on my way.

Women, I salute you for noticing even the smallest changes in people. That comment made my day. :) I wish I was just as observant!

Bryan i am glad you can appreciate women. And now that you know we notice the details, heres a hint. If you notice the details/changes in girls they will start to notice you more. You will become that guy that all the girls like, and don’t get a puppy. You dont wanna be a lifetime babysitter like Andy.

Hey Coco, so if I think that a girl gained one pound, should I tell her that? That’s noticing the details huh?

I beg to differ you could notice every little different thing about a women but it never means anything. You could tell them every time they cry that they are fat that no they are perfect but hey it doesnt really matter what you say. By the way chooch Im gonna be the rival babysitter, I figure Im gonna have alot of practice with Jaxson and Im in the same boat you are.

Hey don’t start babysitting just yet! It does matter what you say to a woman. It matters that you notice their every little detail… Hey this is for anybody that is thinking about joining the Babysitters Club hold on… There still may be some hope to find that one woman that takes notice of you. ;)

Silas and I were supposed to meet up with other photography classmates for long exposure photos from Cow Canyon Saddle by Mt. Baldy Village1. That didn’t happen. Once we got to the turnout on Glendora Ridge Rd, we just saw a sign and a road leading into an RV park. There wasn’t a mention of Cow Canyon [...]

I didn’t ask Bill to pose or smile. I liked his second portrait, but that wasn’t as sharp. Boo me. Reflections of myself and Bill’s dad (upper left) was deliberate. Taken inside his dad’s garage, and hopefully soon to be his recording studio. View on Flickr

  • A gift of film November 10, 2009
Jon Swanson emailed me last Friday and asked if I wanted any color Fuji 35mm film. He didn’t tell me how many rolls he had in his possession. Most importantly, he didn’t want a dime. I asked him how much he had, but he persisted that I give him a number. I requested eight rolls of 200 film1. [...]

  • One of my first prints November 5, 2009
I tried to get this scanned print as close to the real thing as possible. I cropped out the white borders since they weren’t clean. I didn’t write down how I exposed this in the enlarger – shame on me, I guess. Lastly, since this was our first assignment, our teacher hadn’t shown us contrast filters [...]
