I'm overwhelmed with feelings of anxiety and excitement about the huge event for me three weeks from today. We just found out about our first show on Monday – and that was only three days ago! Good grief!
Wanna know something funny? I've hung out with at least one of the other band members for the past four days (since we found out the good news). Monday night, I was with Bill and James to watch some of the UCLA game. Tuesday night, I was with Bill and Dan because Dan wanted to work on the bass part. Last night, we all had a last minute band practice because James' boys got cancelled due to the wet fields. (We usually just practice on Sundays because of everyones interesting schedules during the week.) Even after that, we went out to dinner at Cabreras.
Here's some things that are on my mind:
- My guitar
- Equipment I have to buy before the show
- Equipment I'd like to buy for my guitar so I look somewhat comparable to Bill (he bought a amp head and a B-52 4×12" cabinet – it was so sick seeing it last night)
- The songs we have and which ones we should play that people would like the most
- My performance within our songs
- Our interesting band name which, in my opinion, doesn't exactly match all of our music
The things that haven't exactly hit me as hard right now is school and coaching, but only because of this gig. Not to worry, because they're definitely still up there, okay? :)

I have a few requests for songs:
1.) Bless the Broken Road
2.) Better Together
3.) You’re Beautiful
4.) Unwritten
5.) Bad Day
6.) Amazed
7.) Still the One
Heh, no cover songs – at least not until we get famous (if that’s in the plan). :)
