Would you use Skobee?

To all my local [and close] friends: Would you use Skobee? Sure, we all call each other back and forth to figure things out. But maybe we’d save ourselves 30 minutes if we used Skobee. Maybe?

If you plan events with friends using email, Skobee is going to make your life a lot easier.

Instead of contacting all of the friends you would like to plan an event with through the normal channels (IM, email, phone, etc.) and trying to keep things organized, Skobee has a dead simple and better way to handle it. Create a new event, put in vague (or definite) information on location and date/time, and add emails for people you’d like to include.

For those hesitant on registering:

Your friends and family don’t actually have to register to see the details of the plan. In fact, if you invite them to a plan, they can change most any part of it via email and they can navigate to the page to view all of the details.

You can read the full article/review at TechCrunch.

  • Andrews International harasses me for holding my camera July 8, 2009
Tuesday, June 30th, 2009 at 6:35pm, I was waiting outside the box office of The Knitting Factory, when I was confronted by an Andrews International security guard. “No taking pictures on private property,” he says. Unbelievable. I reasoned that: I was only holding my camera, not taking any photos. I hadn’t taken a single photo. The bag I h […]

  • To hang with The Ready Set tonight June 30, 2009
I’ll be at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood tonight to: take photos for The Ready Set1, and hang out with Andrew Swanson (@itsswanny) at their merchandise table. The kicker: I don’t know Andrew. But, his dad is Jon Swanson (Levite Chronicles). We’ve been following each other on Twitter since I met Chris Marsden. Jon told me that Andrew w […]

  • OEM batteries for my Canon EOS 40D June 24, 2009
In April 2008, I bought a Canon BP-511A 1390 mAh equivalent battery from SuperMart for $5.23 + $6 shipping (USD). It held a decent charge  for a year before decreasing in charge capacity, with no damage to my camera. Now, I’m going to try buying from SterlingTek. I would’ve gotten the two-pack, but I don’t need [...]

  • Bill will record one song for you, pro bono June 23, 2009
Bill — friend and guitarist of our band, The Scarlet Paradigm — wants to improve his recording skills. He sent this status update on Facebook a few days ago: If you or your friends are musicians, spread the word that I will record one of their songs for [free]! How good can it sound? Listen to some [...]

  • Silas and Megan June 23, 2009
I can’t deny that I’m into people photos, especially portraits. On Flickr alone, I have 908 and 1,571 tagged as portrait and people, respectively. Last Monday, I was going to hang out with Silas for an impromptu photowalk. His girlfriend, Megan, came along, so I made the decision to hang out at the park. Cute stuff, right? View [...]
