Cool Hand Luke

Tim, Dan, and Andy sat and watched “Cool Hand Luke” with me. (Then again, Andy was on Passwird Deals debating about an LCD monitor deal more than watching the movie.) Anyway, I need to compare it to “One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest” for a film history class and write a paper about them. Anyway, I found it entertaining, and weird (just like the other movie). The others felt the same way. I’m glad I didn’t have to watch it alone, and Dan helped me out by looking at my class notes and pointing out possible similarities. Thanks guys!

Oh yeah, if any of you out there can help me out, and you’ve seen both of the movies, I’d love some comments! I’ll be writing the paper tomorrow night because it’s due Friday. Doesn’t hurt to ask, right? :)

I’m not looking

Unexpected late night

Sorry about the last three pictures. In short, I got home last night, settled in for bed, then my mom came out of the room mumbling that she’s been throwing up. After 20 minutes of deciding whether or not we should go to the emergency room, we finally did.

I “documented” the whole thing, scribbling notes in my PDA whenever something happened (or didn’t). Continue reading ‘Unexpected late night’

And I don’t care

Still here

I feel so bad for my mom. Nurse checks in very infrequently. Haven’t seen a doctor yet. Can’t understand mom cuz she mumbles a bit.

While walking across the street from the Wiltern to the Wilshire/Western subway, this man walked between the cars asking for money. The print is pretty much how I envisioned it. Unfortunately, I’m still trying to get more detail between the man’s head and the trees in the distance. This is probably my 8th print attempt. I’m [...]

Silas and I were supposed to meet up with other photography classmates for long exposure photos from Cow Canyon Saddle by Mt. Baldy Village1. That didn’t happen. Once we got to the turnout on Glendora Ridge Rd, we just saw a sign and a road leading into an RV park. There wasn’t a mention of Cow Canyon [...]

I didn’t ask Bill to pose or smile. I liked his second portrait, but that wasn’t as sharp. Boo me. Reflections of myself and Bill’s dad (upper left) was deliberate. Taken inside his dad’s garage, and hopefully soon to be his recording studio. View on Flickr
