I was sorting through my inbox, and came across a Verizon Wireless mailer, promoting a free LG VX8100. Of course, after a 2-year contract and mail-in rebate. I haven’t left Verizon Wireless in years, and their service has been impeccable. Mom hooked me up with the 50 bucks I’d need upfront. Thanks Mom! Anyways, I after a quick 30-minute run to the Verizon Wireless stand at the mall, and actually 75 bucks upfront (taxes), I’ve got a brand new cameraphone.
I literally typed each phone contact entry from my old LG VX4400 into a text document, then entered all my frequently-used contacts into it. I’ll copy the ones from that document into Palm Desktop so they’ll be available on my PDA.
It’s kind of scary because I’ve had a non-camera phone for quite sometime now. Andy sort of got to me, saying how insane it was that me – out of all people – had an old cheezy phone. Not anymore!
Now, I just have to resist buying a MiniSD card for it. It’s not a need. Focus…
Update: I found a way to increase my battery life. If you don’t use EVDO, disable it. It’s supposed to triple my battery life. I don’t know what it is exactly, so it’s disabled for now. I’m glad I found this tip right off the bat.

it’s a NEED… you KNOW it’s a NEED. lol
